DENVER ZOO’S DO AT THE ZOO TO FEATURE VARIETY OF MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT

The Goonies, Buckner Funken Jazz and Biff Gore to perform at the Zoo’s largest annual fundraiser

Denver Zoo’s 28th Do At The Zoo gala will once again highlight some of the best musical acts in Denver on Thursday, June 15, from 7-10 p.m. One performer, Biff Gore, was even a top contestant on the hit television show “The Voice.” Presented by Anadarko, Denver’s wildest summer party, and Denver Zoo’s largest fundraiser, will also feature more than 55 of the city’s finest restaurants serving their best menu items, the region’s best beer, wine and cocktails, in addition to up-close animal experiences. Proceeds raised at this year’s event will support all of what staff do at the Zoo, including science education, global conservation and world class animal care.

The Goonies will rock and roll at the underwater sea lion viewing deck. The 4-piece 80’s rock band plays covers from bands such as AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Journey and more.

Buckner Funken Jazz will jam at Conoco Pavilion. The 7-piece funk band plays “old school funk” and are regular performers at the venue Jazz at Jack’s.

Biff Gore will serenade guests at Sycamore Island. The solo blues and R&B artist has gained national attention since making it to the top eight on season six of NBC’s hit show, “The Voice.”

In its 27-year history, more than 50,000 Do At The Zoo guests have raised more than $12 million to improve Denver Zoo and support its many causes. The event will benefit all of Denver Zoo’s functions, from state-of-the-art animal care, age-appropriate educational programs, to world-renowned conservation projects spanning the globe.

The event is open to guests 21 and older. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit Denver Zoo’s website.

Denver Zoo will close at noon on June 15 to set up for the gala.
