Address: 2148 Larimer St., Denver, CO 80205
Phone: 970-624-7701

Description: What exactly, defines a gourmet hot dog other than the addition of an overused adjective? How about exotic meats like reindeer, wild boar, rattlesnake, pheasant, elk, antelope, jack-a-lope and buffalo all bolstered by quirky (and delicious) toppings, including squiggles of cream cheese unloadeed from a caulking gun, caramelized onions soaked in Coke (the cola version), harissa-roasted cactus, Malaysian curry jam, wasabi aioli or caramelized apples?

It was 2005 when Jim Pittenger, aka Biker Jim, launched his first sidewalk food cart on a bustling street corner in Downtown Denver. One cart became two, and two became three. In March of 2011, after generating local, regional, national and internation acclaim for the dogs he dispensed from the carts, Jim opened his first brick-and-mortar in the heart of Denver's trendy Ballpark neighborhood. The opening was concurrent with the launch of a Biker Jim's food truck that traversed across the country. In August of 2014, Jim opened a second brick-and-mortar in Highlands Ranch.

In 2013, Epic expanded its brewery operations into Colorado by opening a second brewery in the River North district of downtown Denver. The Denver brewery offered enough space to support growing national distribution, expansion of the popular barrel aged beer program and the introduction of a line of sour beers. Along with these improvements the addition of a "proper" tap room featuring 25 taps was a long awaited realization, allowing Epic to feature is substantial beer selection on draught.

Description: In 1988, a band of urban pioneers, notably among them Colorado Governor, John Hickenlooper, took a shine to an unlikely building at the corner of 18th and Wynkoop.  They wanted to brew beer and foster community.  The place and the pioneers were an immediate success.  The small-batch beers and the hearty fare replicated an authentic public house.  Today, we are honored to be known as a legend.  We work equally hard to respect our heritage and to remain relevant in our beautiful Denver home.
