Sampling Opportunities
Denver Zoo welcomes on site promotional opportunities which are beneficial to all participants. These sampling opportunities allow company and organization representatives to set up a booth on grounds, communicate its messaging, services or products to zoo guests, plus distribute pre-approved premium giveaways.
Benefits Available for Sampling Opportunities
- Booth set up and tear down services; Denver Zoo will provide upon request one (1) 10’x10’ tent, two (2) 6’ tables, two (2) table linens, up to four (4) chairs and access to electricity (20-amp circuit).
- Booth location with high visibility, as determined by Denver Zoo’s 2011 Occupancy Study; either on the front entry plaza outside zoo grounds or on the main pathway inside zoo grounds (restrictions/availability pending Denver Zoo Events Calendar)
- Recognition in Denver Zoo’s social media outlets such as Facebook (91,000+ likes) and Twitter (11,000+ followers), pending communications calendar availability and with visitor incentive.
- Guide by Cell™ DZOO Text to Guest Campaign, pending communications calendar availability and with visitor incentive (starting May 2013).
Fee
| For any sampling opportunity not directly tied in to a media (radio, television, newspaper etc.) promotion or specific Zoo-sponsored event, a non-refundable sampling fee will be charged per day for a 10’x10’ footprint (supplementary space may be available for an additional fee). Please note that admission gates close one hour prior to the zoo’s closing time. |

| 50% fee will be assessed in the event of a cancellation two (2) weeks or more prior to the event date. No refunds are available for cancellations less than two (2) weeks before the event date. |
Onsite Promotion at Denver Zoo
Denver Zoo would like to make this sampling opportunity as beneficial as possible. We encourage samplers to get creative and have fun decorating their area. We also support name capturing and the display of onsite promotional tools in order to increase exposure at your booth; examples include product displays, banners, informational pamphlets/flyers, questionnaires or other premiums. Please also note:
- Sale of any items on Zoo grounds is prohibited.
- Denver Zoo reserves the right to modify or limit any sample or display to comply with the Denver Zoo rules and regulations, including sound limitations.
- Any giveaway item, survey, informational pamphlet/flyer or entertainment utilized must be approved by Denver Zoo two (2) weeks prior to sampling.
- Food and beverage samples may be given to the public in the form of 2oz. maximum samples only (as determined by reasonable commercial standards), with prior approval from Denver Zoo.
- For the safety of the animals, please no bicycles, scooters, skateboards, roller skates/blades, stickers, balloons, frisbees, balls, beverage straws, confetti, or water pistols on zoo grounds.
- Companies/Organizations wishing to bring a motorized vehicle to the display must provide adequate floor covering.
- Denver Zoo is open every day, rain or shine; however the Development Department will make every effort to accommodate rescheduling requests in the event of bad weather or other circumstances.
