Workshops will be designed to meet a variety of career exploration and transition services topics, and can even be designed for younger or older audiences!

  • The following components can be incorporated into a zoo workshop:
    • Interaction with live animals and biofacts (animal specimens) in the workshop classroom
    • Guided tours of the zoo
    • Animal observations/data collection in the zoo
    • Guest zoo staff speakers
    • Lectures and discussions
    • Hands-on activities in the workshop classroom or in the zoo

Service Learning

For an additional charge of $100, we can add a one-hour animal enrichment focused service-learning program to any workshop.  Students will learn about animal enrichment and will create enrichment items (toys) for our zoo’s animal residents.
