GUIDED TOURS
We'll lead the way!
A variety of guided tours are available for school groups 1st grade and up. Trained volunteer docents will lead your group on a journey to explore the wonders of animals and the living world. All tours are aligned with Colorado Model Content State Standards.
A minimum of 10 students are required to take part in a tour. All groups are required to have one adult chaperone per 10 students. A maximum of two adults may join a tour group; we ask that additional adults enjoy the zoo on their own and meet up with the school group after the tour finishes.
The Denver zoo recommends that tours for 1st-3rd grade students last 1.5 hours and tours for 4th grade students and older 2 hours.
You will receive a confirmation shortly after registering for your tour. Your confirmation will include a Teacher's Guide to help you prepare your students for their tour.
Guided tour reservations must be made THREE weeks in advance. Book early as dates fill quickly. Due to the busy nature of the Zoo in the spring months, guided tours are not offered in May or June.
