It can feel like a “zoo” riding in the city if you are not used to it. Join Denver Zoo’s “Wild Ride” team and BikeDenver for a bike basics class developed to help participants feel comfortable, safe and confident when riding a bike in the city and commuting with a bike to work.
Whether you are new to commuting or a seasoned rider, this class will give you the tools you need to ride safely and legally on the streets of Denver. This two hour class will consist of a classroom discussion on bicycles, local bike-related laws, avoidance of common bike-related incidents, and how to co-exist with cars on the road. The second half of the class will put you on the seat of your bicycle (or a B-cycle) practicing your newly learned skills and maneuvers with our instructors.
• The training is limited to 15 people in order to provide a valuable experience and time to conduct the bike training course.
• Please sign up early to reserve your spot.
• Participants can bring their own bike or use a bike provided by B-cycle.
• Participants will need to bring a bike helmet.
