Matching Gifts

Your support of Denver Zoo could be doubled if your employer offers a matching gift program! Zoo Pride

Zoo Pride is a special group of patron level members who are deeply committed to Denver Zoo’s mission and partner with us to ensure the continued vitality of the Zoo and our conservation and educational programs.

Zoo Pride memberships start at $275 and include several “insider” benefits. All levels include unlimited daytime admission to the Zoo, passes for family and friends and an invitation to our annual Patron Brunch just for Zoo Pride members and their families. There are six levels of annual contribution; please refer to the chart below.

Estimated Fair Market Value of Benefits:The Internal Revenue Service has issued guidelines that affect the charitable contribution portion of memberships. Under those guidelines, members may claim the amount of their membership fee, less the fair market value of benefits received. For Individual, Individual and Guest, Zoo For Two members, the fair market value of benefits received is not substantial. The estimated fair market value of benefits received for other categories are: Family $32; Family Plus $32; Curator's Club $63; Director's Circle $161; President's Circle $189; Chairman's Circle $205; Guardian Society $245 and Conservation Society $331.

MEMBERSHIP FAQs

Helpful answers to our most frequently asked membership questions

Q. How long is my membership valid?
Your membership is valid for one full year from the time of purchase.

Q. How can I purchase or renew a Zoo membership?
We offer four easy options:
  1. Online - just fill out the appropriate information on our online membership application.
  2. By phone - call the Membership Services Office 303-376-4878 Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Purchases by phone will be accepted with a MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express credit card.
  3. In person - come into the Boettcher Welcome Center located at the Zoo's Main Entrance seven days a week, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. from March 1 to October 31, and between 10 a.m.-5 p.m. from November 1 to February 28. We will process your membership and give you your permanent membership cards right away.
  4. Print and complete the online membership application and mail it to:

Q. At what age do you charge admission for child?
We charge admission for children age 3 and above. Children age 2 and younger are admitted free.

Q. How old must I be to have a membership in my name?

You must be at least 16 years or older to have a membership in your name.

Q. How long will it take to receive my membership cards?
If you come to the Zoo, you will receive your cards right away. If you submit your application by mail, online or by phone, your membership will be processed and mailed to you within two to three business days.

Q. How many cards will I receive?
The number of cards you receive is determined by the category you have selected, but no more than two.

Q. Can I loan out my membership card to a family member or friend?
No, your membership card(s) and associated privileges are not transferable to any other individual. Your membership has a tremendous value. To protect the rights of our members, we will ask to see your photo ID, such as a driver's license, at the time of your visit.

Q. Can I use my membership at other zoos?
No. At this time we do not participate in the reciprocity program.

Q. What do I do if I lose my membership card?
Call the Membership Services Office to report lost cards or come in to the Membership Services & Information Office. There is a $10 fee for replacement cards.
