Denver Zoo is an Equal Opportunity Employer and we are dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment for our staff and guests. To assist in achieving that goal, we conduct background investigations, drug/alcohol testing, and integrity testing for all prospective employees prior to their employment.
Denver Zoo’s College Internship Program allows students to utilize their classroom knowledge in a real work setting. Denver Zoo’s staff is committed to teaching and guiding our interns by helping to improve their skills and giving students valuable firsthand experience.
We offer both paid and unpaid internships throughout the year. Summer internships generally begin in May and conclude in August (exact start and end dates depend on the candidates’ school schedule). We offer internships in Animal Care, Behavior Programs, Horticulture and Marketing as they become available. Paid internships are funded through the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District.
