A variety of guided tours are available for school groups coming to the zoo for a field trip. Trained volunteer docents will lead your group on a journey to explore the wonders of animals and the living world. All tours are aligned with Colorado Academic Standards.
1st - 12th Grades
A minimum of 10 students are required to take part in a tour. All groups are required to have 1 adult chaperone per 10 students. A maximum of two adults may join a tour group; we ask that additional adults enjoy the zoo on their own and meet up with the school group after the tour finishes.
Monday through Friday, September through April only
$7/student (September-February) and $8/student (March-April); Smaller groups will be charged for a minimum of 10 students
All guided tours for students are aligned with Colorado Acacdemic Standards. Programs listed below are listed for the grade whose standard most closely aligns with the content of the tour. Tour programs that have mutliple grades listed can be adapted to the Colorado Academic Standard appropriate for the grade of students attending.
Any education program(s) that needs to be changed after being scheduled are subject to the following fees:
*PLEASE NOTE: Denver Zoo Scholarship Funds cannot be applied to cancellation fees or transfer fees.
