Whether you're planning an event for your fine feathered friends or a business luncheon for a gaggle of co-workers, Denver Zoo is the place for you. Denver Zoo is open every day of the year and caters to your daytime or nocturnal needs. Denver Zoo offers first class services where you're the mane attraction!
Below are a variety of event spaces we have to accommodate your group. Denver Zoo can host events ranging from 25-8000. From an exclusive Zoo buy out to an intimate gathering, we have everything you are looking for to make your party a success.
New in 2010!
Denver Zoo’s rental program has recently undergone some exciting changes. Party planners may rent the entire Zoo or choose between one of three zones, enabling private party guests to experience the Zoo’s distinctive exhibits.
Conoco Zoo Gardens , Northern Shores, and Primate Panorama offer unique settings and experiences for your wild bunch. Denver Zoo is able to provide the best options for a variety of clients with differing needs. Price conscious groups have the ability to rent one or two zones that are more affordable. In contrast, larger groups who are interested in renting the entire zoo may do so by including all of the zones for a discounted rate. We are excited to introduce this new program and believe it will provide various options for our clientele.
2010 Facilities and Rates
Denver Zoo admission tickets, up to the rental capacity of the space, are included in the rental fee. Guests ages 3 and above require an admission ticket. Additional tickets may be purchased at a rate of $5 per person. For evening events, zoo access is available May-September and during the month of December for Zoo Lights.
 Norgren Hall
Norgren Hall is our largest indoor venue overlooking a variety of Denver Zoo exhibits. The Hall is fully equipped with audio and projection equipment and can be divided into three separate rooms to meet your needs and may be rented for 4 or 8 hours during the day. For afterhours zoo access (6:30-10:00 pm) from May to October, the entire hall must be rented. Norgen Hall can also be rented after hours with no Zoo access during off season months (November-March) from 5:30-9 pm. Rental hours can be extended.

The Studios
Located inside the Gates Education Center, the studios are ideal for smaller gatherings. Decorated for the holidays, the studios can be rented for groups of 48 to 96 people or rented as an additional space to Norgren Hall. The studios may only be rented for Zoo Lights evening events.

Conoco Zoo Gardens
This centrally located, one-acre garden, features a spacious covered picnic pavilion and two gazebos. Depending on the size of your party, you may rent half of the pavilion or the entire space. The space is available for all day (9am to 5pm) or evening (6:30pm to 10pm) rentals. Early access for nighttime events is possible for an additional fee. Please call to inquire.

NEW! Primate Panorama
Experience an after-hours event under a canopy of trees immersing you in the 7-acre habitat of the Zoo’s primates large and small. Guests will enjoy dining in an African village amongst brightly colored birds and primates from around the world.

NEW! Northern Shores
Watch our polar bears enjoy the icy water and frozen shores of the Arctic. Around the corner, harbor seals and California sea lions swim along the surf-washed rocks and bask lazily in the sun.

During evening events specific animal buildings will be open based on the rented zone (however all is subject to animal keeper decisions made the day of the party.) The following buildings will be open until 9pm or 8:30 p.m.
Pachyderm House, Pahali ya Simba, Giraffe House, Emerald Forest (dusk or 8:30) and Great Apes (dusk or 8:30) when all zones are rented out.
 Samburu Patio
This is our patio area overlooking the Predator Ridge exhibits. The space is ideal for a cocktail party or a small reception and is only available from May – September from 6:30pm to 10pm. Limited Zoo access-Predator Ridge, Pahali ya Simba, and Pachyderms buildings open only.

Catering
Whatever the backdrop, “A Taste of the Wild”, Denver Zoo’s premier caterer will fashion a menu that complements your theme and satisfies the palate. All arrangements regarding food, beverages, theme packages and entertainment packages can be made through the catering sales office.
More Adventures
The Denver Zoo offers other opportunities to enhance your party with the following:
Live Animal Demonstrations (Daytime or After Hours Parties)
Give your guests a special meet and greet with some of the Denver Zoo’s Wild Inhabitants. A variety of animals can be added to your guest list for a personal visit with your group.
$150 for 1 zoo representative and 2 educational animals
$250 for 2 zoo representatives and 4 educational animals
NEW! Creature Feature (After hours parties only)
This is a great program for groups larger than 300. Presented in our Wild Encounters Amphitheatre outside of the Gates Center, your guests will be amazed with some animal visitors and might learn a thing or two during this 30 minute program. This presentation is booked for 2 shows during the evening. Creature Feature includes 2 animals, animal biofacts and 1-2 zoo presenters. Wild Encounters Amphitheatre can hold up to 100 guests.
$350 for 2 performances
Scavenger Hunt (Daytime and After Hours Parties)
What unzoosual things can you find? Individually or in teams, we’ll send you off to hunt and gather clues. We provide the clues and prizes to be awarded to the wise owls who find them the quickest. Both child and adult hunts are available.
Rate: $1.25 per person
WildLife Show (After Hours Party)
Watch free-flight birds and talented mammals entertain and educate your guests. This 20 minute presentation takes place in the WildLife Amphitheatre located next to the Conoco Zoo Garden pavilion.
$500 for a presentation, 3 staff
members and multiple animals
Train & Carousel Rental (After Hours Parties)
