The grizzly bear gets its name from the “grizzled” appearance of its fur, but our beautiful Tundra prefers to think of her blonde-tipped brown fur as “high country highlights.” Another fun fact about our resident griz: while bears under human care don’t typically exhibit winter hibernation behaviors, Tundra has been known to build a den and snuggle up for days at a time!
With your symbolic adoption of a plush grizzly bear, you’re helping us provide cutting-edge care for beautiful Miss Tundra and the rest of our 3,000 wild animals—while also supporting our mission of Inspiring Communities to Save Wildlife for Future Generations.
