Guests can stay up-to-date about Zoo happenings with new technology

Zoo guests and fans can make sure they don’t miss a roar, chirp or growl with the new Denver Zoo mobile app. The app was released in April and includes a number of special features for guests on-site and those keeping up with the latest happenings from the comfort of their home. It is available free to download in Spanish and English on Apple and Android devices and includes a GPS enabled map of the Zoo, schedule of events, access to guests’ membership cards, purchase history and more. In addition, the mobile app includes up-to-date animal information, providing users with an even deeper knowledge about the animals who call the Zoo home.

With the GPS-enabled map, the app acts as a digital guide that allows guests to find their favorite exhibits with ease, as well as locate concessions and restrooms. Also, day-of information for animal demonstrations, as well as insider animal information from keepers, are available with just the swipe of a finger. By connecting the mobile app to up-to-date animal information, guests can learn more about the Zoo’s residents, such as animal names, ages, favorite foods and other fun facts. For those who want a friendly reminder about an upcoming event, push notifications will soon be an optional feature on the user’s device.

Zoo members may use the Denver Zoo mobile app for easier access at the front gate by pulling up a digital version of their membership card. Non-members can pull up purchased tickets using the app. Fans of Denver Zoo can download the app in their app store using search “Denver Zoo.”
