If your camper liked Summer Safari, they will LOVE Fall, Winter, and Spring Safari Mini-Camps! When school is out, Safari Camp is in! These camps run from November through March. There’s a Safari for every season!
Animals at the Zoo have fun in many ways! We take play seriously, and need your camper to help create new forms of engagement for animals and humans alike!
**Schedule Subject to Change. Ask your camper the questions below to learn about their day!
Can you build a puzzle that makes it a fun challenge for primates to try to get their food?
Primate Panorama. How do monkeys and apes stay healthy? What did we see? Was each area the same? Did all the monkeys and apes play the same way?
What animal did we meet in our classroom? How did it “work” for its food?
Campers design a toy for primates that also distributes their food. How did we design our toys? Did we think a primate would have fun getting its food? Did we try out any toys?
Campers try out different methods that primates might get their food. What worked best? Why was it a good solution?
How can we apply what we learned today about “toys” to keep pets at home healthy? Could they use the same toys as primates – or how would they be different?
