Receive a discount on Zoo admission tickets by sporting a beard in support of National Bison Day on November 1.
The largest land mammal in the country, the bison, helped shape the Great Plains and the lifestyle of the Native Americans who lived there. Bison have been important for centuries to our history and culture, and today, they live in all 50 states. Denver Zoo encourages guests to honor this animal by urging Members of Congress to cosponsor the National Bison Legacy Act, which will make the bison the national mammal. Please join this historic grassroots campaign and ask your Members of Congress to cosponsor the National Bison Legacy Act at votebison.org. Your vote will help ensure our largest land mammal becomes America’s National Mammal!
So, get your beard on (you can download yours here if you don’t naturally sport one http://www.beardsforbison.org/#getYourBeard) and join us at Denver Zoo November 1 to celebrate this wonderful creature!
Those who wear a beard will receive discounted tickets -- $5 for kids and $10 for adults.
