Join Denver Zoo for a special screening of the film, Girl Rising. The film highlights the unforgettable stories of nine girls living in the developing world, striving to reach beyond their circumstances and overcome nearly insurmountable odds to achieve their dreams. Guests will also learn about Denver Zoo’s work across the globe to better communities through our Women’s Project. The film is not rated, but does include mature content.

Celebrate the spirit of Earth Day at Denver Zoo’s commemoration of the Association of Zoos and Aquarium’s Party for the Planet™. Local students will present educational booths showcasing the environmental and conservation projects they created through participation in Denver Zoo’s multi-contact programs with zoo guests. Denver Zoo will also have staff sharing information about a number of green practices and conservation projects they are involved with at the zoo. Join us for this exciting day to celebrate the Earth and the power of the youth voice.
Join us to celebrate the importance of the young people in our community at Dia De Los Ninos. The day will feature cultural entertainment, crafts and community partners to help children develop skills and instill confidence to encourage them to realize their hopes and dreams.
On your mark. Get set. RUN! Run for Denver Zoo on May 17 or 18 in one of the Colfax Marathon race series, and help raise funds for a great cause – animals! Participate in the 13.1 mile Colfax Half Marathon, the exclusive race to run through Denver Zoo. When you register to race be sure to choose Denver Zoo as your charity partner!
Tickets for Denver Zoo’s most anticipated summer event, the 25th Annual Do At The Zoo, presented by Anadarko Petroleum Corporation on June 19, are now on sale! The evening is guaranteed to highlight Denver’s best restaurants and entertainment at one of wildest local venues. Join us to celebrate 25 years of Do At The Zoo and the amazing accomplishments this fundraising gala has helped us reach together to support Denver Zoo's mission to secure a better world for animals through human understanding.
Bottoms up! A favorite for beer connoisseurs, Brew At The Zoo will celebrate its 17th anniversary on September 12. The event will run from 7 – 10 p.m. and feature 40 of Colorado’s local breweries and 20 local restaurants. Enjoy samples of old favorites or try a different brew. From porters to pale ales, the evening is a great opportunity to try some of the best beers of Colorado - you might just find a new favorite!
Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and their families are invited to Denver Zoo for a special after-hours event that meets scout requirements. Delve into the amazing adaptations of nocturnal animals as you watch the sunset and explore Denver Zoo at night. Learn about the zoo’s conservation efforts, discover fascinating facts about the animals and go wild for games and activity station created just for scouts! Scout Night also features up-close animal encounters, after-dark animal viewing with real night vision scopes, free carousel rides and train rides, crafts, entertainment and a 2014 Scout Night commemorative patch!
Boo After Dark offers more than 25 trick-or-treat stations, creepy crawly animal demonstrations and exciting family-friendly entertainment under the canopy of the beautiful fall foliage of Denver Zoo. For those of you who love Boo at the Zoo but prefer to trick-or-treat in the evening.

Come to Denver’s museum of living art as Denver Zoo celebrates Arts Week, November 1 – 10 with Festival De Los Animales. From paintings to photography, music and dance, sculpture and theater animals have been the inspiration for some of the world’s most popular art and culture. Join Denver Zoo as we celebrate the beautiful complexity and magnificent simplicity of animals through art, music, dance and storytelling. Consider it a living masterpiece.
Denver Zoo will offer free admission to the zoo for veterans on November 11 in order to honor and support a new generation of veterans and their families. The zoo will also offer free 90-minute, guided tours designed to engage families of veterans in a fun-filled day together exploring Denver Zoo’s public areas. Registration is required for tours.
Enjoy Zoo Lights, a magical Denver Zoo winter tradition, with your family, troop or pack before it opens to the general public! You will be able to go on a holiday light sculpture safari and enjoy the creative displays and holiday décor. Guests will be able to enjoy free carousel rides (weather permitting) and special animal demonstrations. This special night is the perfect winter evening out, created just for Scouts!
