In honor of #NationalWildlifeWeek, we’re proud to highlight the incredible field conservation work happening right here in Colorado. 🏔️🐾
Through strong partnerships, we’re helping build wildlife crossings on busy highways, release boreal toads into the Rockies, study high-elevation pika populations, reduce human–wildlife conflict on Mt. Blue Sky, return bison to native grasslands, and support critical bighorn sheep research.
Our impact extends far beyond our 80-acre campus, connecting communities to conservation and protecting wildlife right here in our own backyard.
We`re celebrating this week from April 5-7 and 9-11 with special volunteer-led tours just for members! Our amazing DZCA Docents are offering free guided tours for members and veterans who are already inside the Zoo on a first come, first served basis from 9 am - 11am and will meet inside the main gate.
