Join us in celebrating Día de los Muertos at Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance, October 25–November 2.
This beautiful tradition invites us to remember and honor loved ones who have passed, including the animals who touched our lives. In partnership with our community, we’re creating ofrendas throughout the Zoo in partnership with @mexicultural to celebrate the lives of beloved animals, both wild and domestic.
💛 How to participate:
From now through November 2, you’re invited to bring a photo of a beloved pet or animal who has passed and place it on one of our ofrendas during your visit. You can also scan a QR code on campus to upload a photo which will be projected in a special memorial slideshow in Zoo Gardens.
📍 Ofrendas will be on display October 25–November 2
Together, we celebrate the love animals bring into our lives, love that never really leaves us. 💜🦋

Today is #InternationalGibbonDay and we’re celebrating some of the Zoo’s most vocal and acrobatic residents. You can find Vinh, our Critically Endangered white-cheeked gibbon, and Briscoe, our Endangered buff-cheeked gibbon, swinging through Toyota Elephant Passage. And don’t forget to visit Liam and Lola, our Endangered siamang pair, in Primate Panorama!🐒
Gibbons play a vital role in their forest homes, spreading seeds and keeping tropical ecosystems healthy. By visiting and supporting DZCA, you’re helping us protect species like gibbons and their habitats around the world. 🌿
