Our Scout Programs give your scouts the opportunity for exclusive educational experiences and interactive learning activities. Be sure to explore our Fall, Winter, and Spring programs—each season brings a unique program paired with our most popular events including Zoo Lights, Boo at the Zoo and Glowing Wild!

Boo at the Zoo Scout Night: Habitat Heroes
Even creepy crawlies need healthy habitats! Gather your scouts and join us for an exclusive educational experience followed by access to the event of the season: Boo at the Zoo. Explore how bats, bugs and birds play important roles in the habitats we share and find out how you can make our wild spaces less spooky for all!
From 4–6 p.m., scouts are invited to drop by to engage with interactive learning activities, meet animal ambassadors up-close, connect to the natural world, and earn a special patch. This program pairs perfectly with an evening of trick-or-treating!

Compliance with the chaperone policy is required for program participation. Every group visiting Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance must have at least one adult per 10 scouts, regardless of age.

Space in our programs is limited. To leave space for other groups, please attend the programs for which you register and let us know at least 48 hours in advance of any change. Moving to another program date is contingent upon availability and may incur a nominal administrative fee.

Zoo Lights Scout Night: Primate Palooza
Get ready to go bananas and party like a primate! Scouts are invited to swing into an unforgettable night of fun, learning, and just the right amount of monkey business. Explore the care and nutrition that keep our primates and other forest animals happy and healthy—you’ll help create enrichment, meet Animal Ambassadors, test your skills at puzzle feeders, and more! After monkeying around with us you’ll receive first access to enjoy all Zoo Lights has to offer!

Your ticket includes Zoo entry any time after 2 p.m.—come early to visit our primate pals before they call it a night! Program runs 3:30–4:30 p.m., followed by access to Zoo Lights through 9:00 p.m.

Program registration includes Zoo entry beginning at 2 p.m. Please arrive between 2–3 p.m. for additional Zoo exploration in advance of the program. Explore the Zoo on your own, check out the great apes habitats (or other favorite animals!) before you meet us in Primate Panorama Plaza at 3:30 p.m.
During this program, groups will rotate through learning stations, participate in games and activities to explore the care and nutrition of primates and other forest animals, meet some special Animal Ambassadors, and receive a patch! Participants have first access to Zoo Lights beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Program will start promptly at 3:30 p.m. If you arrive at the Zoo after 3 p.m., please enter through the main exit and make your way directly to Primate Panorama.
Please note, animal visibility is often limited during evening programming. We recommend arriving early for animal viewing.

Glowing Wild Scout Night: Spots + Stripes
Gather your group and join us for an exclusive educational experience, while you enjoy early access to Glowing Wild. Your Scouts will become the newest recruits to the Zoo’s fictional Animal Academy, where they will complete missions to earn their “spots and stripes” patch!
From 5:00-6:15 p.m., Scouts will engage in fun and learning in our Animal Academy building through science-based challenges, up-close animal ambassador encounters, and a lantern-themed craft before gaining early access to Glowing Wild to explore on their own!
