The Details

Reservations for self-guided field trips are based on capacity, so spots are limited. Denver Zoo will allow a limited number of bus parking spots per day, which you must reserve at the time of your booking. No additional bus parking will be available once it's sold out, so please plan accordingly.

Follow the instructions below to reserve your field trip! If you're looking to visit on a date that isn't available on the calendar, we do not have space available on that date. Please find another date for your group.

To be eligible for discounted school admission rate, a group must

  1. Visit during the designated field trip months listed above
  2. Have status as an accredited public, private or charter school in session
  3. Be a preschool following an academic curriculum or other school-based program (ie. homeschool programs)
  4. Teacher or school staff must be in attendance with the group
  5. If you do not meet these requirements, you will need to pay general admission to visit

To reserve, please use the following steps:

  1. Click the "Register Now" button below to be taken to our self-guided field trips tickets page
  2. Select the date you'd like to visit us with your class. If a date is unavailable, we are unable to accommodate your group. Please select another date to visit.
  3. Select the # of participants, including chaperones/teachers.
  4. Select the number and type of buses that will be staying onsite during your visit.
  5. Complete your school's information and your contact information.
  6. Make payment based on # of participants. If you are unable to pay at the time of your reservation, please email
  7. Once processed, you will receive an email with the # of tickets requested. You'll also receive an email with more information on your day at the zoo.
  8. Enjoy the day! Visit the zoo at your own pace and enjoy the daily schedule of demonstrations and programs.
