Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance offers 15% discounts for non-profit and government agencies, as well as 15% off for members.

Public Hours Events

Events during public operating hours can take place between 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. from November to February. Events from March to October can take place between 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Rental packages include a specific allotment of admission tickets with additional tickets billed post-event based on attendance. 

After Hours Events 

Events occurring after we close to the public are available from January through the first Thursday in November from 5:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m. After hours events include limited access to view the outdoor animal exhibits located between the Main Entrance and your event venue location. Rental packages include a specific allotment of admission tickets with additional tickets billed post-event based on attendance.

Social Event Venues at Denver Zoo

Denver Zoo’s social event venues include both indoor and outdoor locations, perfect for groups of all sizes. Please see below for photos and additional information about our venues.

Grasslands Studio, Treetops Studio

Our studios (located inside the Gates Education Center) are ideal for small meetings or can be used as breakout rooms. Grasslands and Treetops Studios are available individually utilizing a removable air wall or can be combined for hosting a larger occasion. Private entrances are available in each room.

Pahali ya Simba

Pahali ya Simba (place of the lions) is an indoor event venue that allows you to be mere inches away from the fascinating predator species of Africa’s Samburu region—including African lions and spotted hyenas. This venue is ideal for smaller groups looking to have a unique Denver Zoo experience of dining alongside some of our most popular residents!

Wildlife Plaza

This open-air event venue gives your guests access to the vibrant area opposite Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Animal Hospital. Enjoy a private, shaded plaza where your guests can mingle while enjoying views of wild dogs, cape buffalo, and our black rhino, Rudy, as they play. This outdoor venue is available seasonally, April through October.

Primate Panorama Deck

Host your next event on a private deck in Primate Panorama! Western lowland gorillas and Sumatran orangutans roam freely in their separate spacious exhibits nearby while you enjoy your event from your umbrella-shaded table. Ideal for corporate luncheons, happy hours or relaxed outdoor gatherings. Available seasonally, April through October.

Harmony Hills Den

Imagine hosting an event surrounded by nature-inspired design, with large viewing windows of our one and only Grizzly Bear, Tundra! With space for up to 30 guests, it’s the ideal spot for casual get-togethers, or small celebrations. Available seasonally, April through October.

Stingray Cove™

Inspired by the unique landscape and vibrant culture of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula, this open-air venue is available for unique events after hours. Guests can sit on either side of the Stingray pool and watch our rays and sharks glide freely around the 15,000-gallon tank. Don’t forget to catch the amazing views overlooking our zebras and Dusty, our resident ostrich.

The Sandbar at Stingray Cove

The Sandbar at Stingray Cove is a perfect oasis for your next event, blending vibrant coastal vibes and a lush garden atmosphere. Whether you’re planning a social gathering, or a corporate event with a creative flair, this venue provides the perfect backdrop. Book your next event at The Sandbar and set the tone for an exceptional experience. Available seasonally, April through October.

Toyota Elephant Passage

Whisk your event away to tropical Asia, or at least to the heart of Toyota Elephant Passage! One of the largest elephant habitats in North America, Toyota Elephant Passage is a beautifully unique setting for larger events that provides unforgettable viewing of our elephant herd and greater one-horned rhino. Eat, drink and enjoy the scenery while also spotting otters and fishing cats.

Tropical Discovery

Immerse your guests in a lush, rain forest-inspired environment in our Tropical Discovery Venue.
