  • How long is my membership valid?

    Your Denver Zoo™ Conservation Alliance (DZCA) membership is valid for one full year from the date of purchase.

  • What privileges do I receive as a member?

    In addition to free daytime admission for a year, DZCA members receive train and carousel vouchers, food and merchandise discounts, access to exclusive members-only hours during peak months, two guest vouchers annually, special Zoo Lights privileges and more.   • What are exclusive member hours?

    From August 19 – October 31, Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance is open exclusively to members from 9:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m. This is also when many of our animals are most active and/or visible—so the early birds really do get the worms!

  • How do I purchase, renew, or rejoin my membership?

    Choose what’s most convenient for you below!

    1. Online, anytime, by clicking here
    2. By phone—call the Guest Care Center at 720-337-1400 from 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., seven days a week. MasterCard, Visa, AMEX and Discover cards are accepted. 
    3. In person—visit our Concierge, located just inside the Zoo’s Main Entrance, seven days a week, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. March 18 through October 31, and 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. November 1 through March 17.
  • Do members need reservations, or can we just show up?

    Members are no longer required to make reservations. Visit DZCA anytime during the day.

  • How old must I be to have a membership in my name?

    You must be at least 16 years or older to have a membership in your name.

  • Will I receive a membership card?

    In an effort to reduce our environmental footprint, Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance membership cards are now digital, and are stored on our mobile app. If there is a need for a plastic membership card, our Concierge can print one upon request. Login issues? Please email, call us at 720-337-1400, or stop by the Concierge so that we can reset your online access.

  • Can I loan out my membership card to a friend or family member?

    No, your membership card(s) and associated privileges are not transferable. Your membership has tremendous value. To protect the rights of our members, we will ask to see your photo ID, such as a driver’s license, at the time of your visit.

  • Can I use my membership at other zoos?

    No. At this time, we do not participate in any reciprocity programs.

  • How does DZCA use my membership dollars?

    In addition to providing world-class care for more than 2,500 of our wild and wonderful animals, your membership supports our wildlife conservation efforts in Colorado and worldwide. Since 1996, the Zoo has participated in more than 600 conservation projects in 62 countries spanning six continents. Your membership helps make all of this possible—thank you!

  • How can I find out what’s going on the day of my visit?

    Our daily schedule is always available on the app, as well as on the Daily Schedule page of our website.

  • How much of my membership is tax deductible?

    Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance is a non-profit organization pursuant to Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue code. We recommend consulting with your tax advisor to determine if your purchase or donation is tax deductible in whole or in part.

  • How far in advance can I make a member reservation?

    Members are no longer required to make reservations. Visit DZCA anytime during the day.
