How long is my membership valid?

Your membership is valid for one full year from the time of purchase.

How can I purchase or renew a Zoo membership?

We offer three easy options:

  1. Online
  2. By phone - call the Guest Care Center at 720-337-1400 from 9:00 a.m. – 5 p.m., seven days a week. Purchases by phone will be accepted with a MasterCard, Visa, AMEX, or Discover card.
  3. In person - visit our Concierge located just inside the Zoo's Main Entrance seven days a week, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. from March 1 to October 31, and between 10 a.m.-4 p.m. from November 1 to February 28.

Need to Cancel Your Denver Zoo Ticket Reservation?

If you are a member and find that you are unable to use your reserved time slot, we ask that you email us at to cancel your reservation ASAP. Because government mandates limit our capacity, your cancellation makes it possible for us to offer this spot to another guest. Thanks in advance—both from us and all our guests.

At what age do you charge admission for a child?

We charge admission for children age 3 and above. Children age 2 and younger are admitted free.

How old must I be to have a membership in my name? 

You must be at least 16 years or older to have a membership in your name.

Will I receive a membership card?

In an effort to reduce our usage of plastic, we no longer issue plastic membership cards. Digital membership cards can be accessed through our Denver Zoo mobile app. If there is a need for a plastic membership card, one can be printed upon request at our Concierge Center. Please email, call, or stop by Concierge if you are having any issues with logging in so that we can reset your online access.

Can I loan out my membership card to a family member or friend? 

No, your membership card(s) and associated privileges are not transferable to any other individual. Your membership has a tremendous value. To protect the rights of our members, we will ask to see your photo ID, such as a driver's license, at the time of your visit.

Can I use my membership at other zoos?

No. At this time we do not participate in the reciprocity program.

What do I do it I lose my membership card?

Take advantage of a digital membership card by downloading the Denver Zoo mobile app and logging in using your email address. If you are not logged in to our app, you may also show a photo ID at the member window to be checked in for the day. If a new card is necessary, stop by the Concierge just inside the main entrance. There is a $10 fee for replacement cards.

Estimated Fair Market Value of Benefits: The Internal Revenue Service has issued guidelines that affect the charitable contribution portion of memberships. Under those guidelines, members may claim the amount of their membership fee, less the fair market value of benefits received. For Individual members, the fair market value of benefits received is not substantial. The estimated fair market value of benefits received for other categories are: Individual & Guest $24; Zoo for Two $24; Family $44; Family Plus $44; Friends of Denver Zoo $124.
