Teacher Sweepstakes Results
August 2019
Congratulations to Julie Stewart, 2nd grade teacher at Challenge to Excellence School, and winner of our summer sweeps! Julie’s students visited the Zoo last year and participated in our new Animal Academy program.
“A field trip to Denver Zoo is not only fun but educational in so many ways. My students love the programs that they have attended over the years. The knowledge that the zoo educators pass on to my students is so valuable, as the students come back to school wanting to learn more about the animals and life at the zoo. Denver Zoo never disappoints!”
Cool dioramas! We always love hearing how Zoo field trips inspire learning back at school. Tag us when you share.
Julie won an animal experience and Lion Adoption kit for herself, and a free education program for her class this school year. See you soon, 2nd graders!
Here’s what other teachers are saying:
“I have taken my students to the Denver Zoo for years and it is worth every penny! The animal adaption program cannot to beat! It’s combination of animal interactions and story telling about the specific animals and their adaptions is such a memorial way to address the science standards.” – Sarah V.
“We had such an awesome experience at the Denver zoo! They attended a great program, Animal Senses. The kids learned how animals use their senses and actually got to touch live animals. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The kids had a great time and it’s definitely worth the trip!” – Amanda R.
“We loved coming to the zoo. We are a Title 1 school and for some of our students, this is the only opportunity they have to enjoy the zoo. Every time we have been there, it’s being amazing. Staff is always very helpful. Students really enjoy the time at the zoo. Learning and enjoying their time there.” – Ana C.
