Denver Zoo has some pretty amazing habitats, but even animals can sometimes use a little home improvement! Can your camper become an exhibit designer by constructing some unique solutions to help our residents?

AM: How can we keep flies away from Rain, Puddle, and Drizzle? PM: Build something that we could use to keep flies away from ourselves/our homes.
Cape Buffalo, Hippo, and Rhinos. What did we see? Why are flies a problem? How do the animals/keepers usually deal with them?
What animal(s) did we meet in our classroom? Why did we meet the ones we did?
Campers design a method for keeping flies away from the Cape Buffalo! Then, apply this to find a way to keep flies away from us. What did we design and how does it work?
How did we explore the Question of the Day further? What areas of the zoo did we explore in the afternoon?
What do we like about insects now that we spent some more time with them? What don’t we like? How are insects important?
