From the tiniest tree frog to a full-grown grizzly bear, every member of Denver Zoo’s animal family can get the individualized care they need at our industry-leading facility. During this intimate tour of the Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Animal Hospital, you’ll learn about the about the highly specialized experts who support the care of the 3,000+ animals that call Denver Zoo home.

Restrictions

Closed-toed shoes are strongly recommended for this program.
Program is for up to 6 total individuals.
All program participants must be at least 8 years of age or older.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a paid participant that is 16 years of age or older.
Program fee does not include admission to Denver Zoo—admission tickets must be purchased separately. You must have general admission tickets for the date of your experience.
This experience is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Denver Zoo reserves the right to re-route or cancel any tour due to animal health or safety concerns. In the event of cancellation, efforts will be made to reschedule you on a later date.
This Up-Close Look will occur rain or shine.
Plan to check in at the Zoo at least 30 minutes before the start of your encounter. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated.
There is limited access for service animals during this experience. Please call 720-337-1400 to confirm.
