With topography inspired by the hardy landscapes of the Andean highlands, our favorite flock’s fabulous new home provides both the flamingos and their fans year-round access to both indoor and outdoor living spaces—including multiple circulated wading pools, dedicated nesting islands and multiple vantage points for YOU to enjoy our most fabulous flock!
Wherever possible, the historic backdrop of the habitat (formerly home to our river otters) has been sustainably repurposed into the new design. During your next visit, keep your eyes and ears open for details on our conservation work in Peru, where we’re currently engaged in research on the Vulnerable Chilean flamingo: one of the two species who make their home with us.
