Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance is partnering with local residents to create connected pollinator gardens that support bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Participants receive free Colorado native flowers, planters, and planting support to help create habitat right at home.

✅ Who can participate?
Residents who live in ZIP codes 80205 or 80216, or within the Villa Park neighborhood, are eligible for the 2026 program year.

🌻 Why join?
• Free, low‑maintenance native flowers
• Plants that save water and thrive in Colorado
• More food and shelter for local pollinators

🌱 What does the program entail?
The program runs during the Colorado growing season. Participants care for the plants at their own homes, with optional workshops, newsletters, and online engagement throughout the season.

Help grow a healthier, more pollinator‑friendly community! Interested neighbors are encouraged to apply by visiting the link in our bio.
Día del Niño at Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance was everything. ¡Gracias a todos! 🎉

On May 3rd we celebrated in partnership with @mexicultural, celebrating children, families, and culture with mariachi, Ballet Folklórico, bilingual activations, and so much joy throughout the Zoo. 🌸🎊

Día del Niño is celebrated across Mexico as a day to honor children and their wellbeing, and we are so proud to bring that celebration to the Zoo alongside one of our longest and most treasured partners.

Events like this are made possible thanks to @scfd_co, which helps ensure Denver's cultural institutions are welcoming and accessible to every community. We love that our community funding brings days like this to life.

¡Hasta el próximo año! 🎉

Heads up, DZCA guests and members! 🦁🏃‍♀️🏃🐾

The Colfax Marathon Race Series is returning to City Park and Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance this weekend, with events taking place Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17.

The biggest impacts to traffic, parking, and road access will happen during the morning hours on Saturday and Sunday. We will remain open during normal business hours (9 a.m.–4 p.m.) on Saturday, May 16. However, to help guests avoid marathon-related road closures and delays, Zoo grounds will have a delayed opening at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 17.

We encourage guests to plan for extra travel time or enjoy a later afternoon Zoo visit once race traffic begins to clear. Thank you for your patience and we’ll see you at the Zoo soon. Good luck to all the runners participating this weekend!
