Meet CeCe, DZCA`s official Celebration Captain, helping make our 130th Summer Celebration bigger, wilder and more fun than ever. 💛🎉🥳
Stop by the Zoo for special animal birthday parties, daily surprises, extended Zoo hours, member exclusives and plenty of ways to join the fun during our 130th anniversary.
Party at our place all summer long. Visit the link in our bio to learn more.
Crikey! It’s #WorldCrocDay! 🐊
At DZCA, you can meet some truly remarkable crocs and their reptile relatives:
🐊 Jino, our African dwarf crocodile in Predator Ridge, one of the smallest crocodilian species around.
🐊 Daphne, our Critically Endangered Siamese crocodile in Tropical Discovery, who at 66 years old is the oldest animal at the Zoo.
🦎 Plus two reptiles that carry the croc name: the crocodile monitor and the Chinese crocodile lizard, also in Tropical Discovery!

The wait is almost over! Hesty and her baby boy are preparing for their public debut on Thursday, June 18 at 9:00 a.m. Join us for a chance to see our newest orangutan and first-time mom! 🧡🦧
As they continue to bond, Hesty will keep her little one close and may choose to spend time in behind-the-scenes spaces, so visibility may vary. Thank you for your patience as mom and baby settle into this exciting new chapter.
Don’t forget—we need your help naming Hesty’s baby boy! For a $5 donation, you can vote for Rambutan, Oka or Jamartin. Every vote supports exceptional care for Hesty, her baby and also helps protect Critically Endangered Sumatran orangutans in the wild.
Vote now by visiting the link in our bio.

He`s an icon, he`s a legend and he is the moment! We`re happy to share that our adorable Cape buffalo calf has been named Kai. 🖤
Mira Fine, a generous DZCA supporter, chose the name Kai because it means “ocean” in Hawaiian and follows the water-themed names of the calf`s parents, Rain and Boots. In addition, Mira is honoring a “Kai” in her own life.
Join us in officially welcoming Kai to our buffalo herd during your next visit to DZCA!
