Classroom Safari Costs:

$160 per program.

*30-participant limit for private programs.

Private Virtual Programs for up to 30 Students

Your group will go WILD for Denver Zoo’s Classroom Safari.  Customizable and private, engage with our expert educators and Animal Ambassadors LIVE in the virtual program of your choice. 

Program Information

Early Childhood

Movin' and Groovin' (Ages 3–Grade K)

Walk, slither, fly, hop.  See for yourselves how animals move and groove in different ways.  Learn how and why animals move the way they do and engage in role-playing exercises.

Elementary

Animal Meet & Greet: Science Skills (Grades K–5)

Explore life science standards with Denver Zoo!  Zoo educators introduce two live animal ambassadors and help students use science skills to explore animal characteristics, adaptations for survival in native habitats, or animal care and training – including their unique personalities!  Content’s tailored for your grade level.

Bugging Out!: Bug Investigation (Grades 1–5)

Join your Denver Zoo Nature Guide on a virtual bug safari. See bugs in action and explore their homes; encouraging investigation in your own schoolyard or neighborhood.

Life Cycles (Grades 4-6)

Explore the diverse life cycles of insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals and how Denver Zoo provides animal care at every phase.

All Ages

Animal Habitats: Near & Far (all ages)

You don’t need to travel to explore diverse habitats of the world.  Let Denver Zoo educators be your guide as you compare and contrast two different animal habitats.  Learn what makes a habitat a home for its animal residents in this engaging program.

Animal Meet & Greet: Wild Profiles (all ages)

Zoo educators introduce two Denver Zoo animals and explore their unique characteristics and personalities through the lens of animal care and training. This program is easily adaptable to various groups and settings.

Important Logistical Information

  • Classroom Safari programs are private, and limited to 30 participants.
  • Meeting logistics, including login, will be sent to registrant week of program.
  • Registered group must provide an adult representative to actively assist with
    participant behavior management and to moderate technology and discussion.
  • Presenter will log in 15 minutes prior to start time for introductions and setup with adult representative.
  • Preferred platforms include Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet. We have the ability to work with schools and youth organizations to choose a platform that adheres to required safety measures.

Looking for an engaging and affordable alternative for large groups or individuals? Our Wild Discovery events have no capacity limit, and offer chat interaction with Denver Zoo's knowledgeable educators. Teachers, we also offer an intensive Conservation Challenge curriculum with robust learning resources
